Economic expansion cannot go on forever. The fate of Easter Island demonstrates what happens when a culture which takes expansion for granted meets the limits of the environment to cope. I am terrified by the significance of the melting arctic ice.

This series of weekly blogs will explain how the principles underlying a Citizens’ Income could allow us to change course in time. It will also facilitate a fusion of ideas from the now outdated ‘right’ and ‘left’.
