No, my sister, Gwendoline (known to her disgust as “Molly”) is’t a centenarian. She had a heart attack in 1985, but I think everybody should be given a Centenary.
I did eventually manage to stop calling her “Molly”. There should have been five of us, but only the eldest and the youngest survived so she was always grown up (and bossy) to me.
In the war she volunteered for the ATS. I think she did something with tanks.
She couldn’t have babies, and never married, but most of her career was in Harrogate as a midwife. I was surprised how many turned up at her funeral. Were they all thankful mums?
But I think my sister is worh a Centenary
